What is Custom
Home Audio? How is Custom Home Audio
different than going to a regular stereo store? Is there an
advantage to Custom Home Audio? Is there a
disadvantage to buying a stereo from a conventional
Audio/Video retailer? Everyday consumers seek to get
the best for their entertainment budget but are
faced with a store environment designed to maximize profits
and not value. Custom Home Audio retailers
offer an alternative to the traditional stereo store, maybe
its the alternative you are seeking.

PARA, the Proffessional
Audio Retailers Association, has recently changed
its by-laws to allow Custom Home Audio retailers as members.
Traditionally PARA has required its members to provide
over-the-counter sales, yet recent retail trends have shown
that Custom Only retailers are able to satisfy a growing
segment of the market with a high level of knowledge and
service. CEDIA, the Custom Electronic Design &
Installation Association, and PARA share many
members and now hope to further combine their efforts to
promote the highest ideals of professionalism, knowledge and
customer service.
